Suzlon share price has been gaining attention on Friday for multiple reasons.
The stock has been included in the futures and options (F&O) segment starting Friday, August 1.
In another development, Suzlon Group has informed the stock exchanges about a significant 381 MW order from Zelestra India and its affiliates. This deal marks a strategic milestone for Zelestra as it ventures into its first Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project.
The collaboration underscores a growing trend in the renewable energy sector, with emerging players choosing Suzlon for its expertise and end-to-end capabilities.
The 381 MW project will comprise 127 units of Suzlon’s advanced S144 wind turbines. The installation will be geographically distributed, with 180 MW each in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and 21 MW in Tamil Nadu.
The projects in Maharashtra and MP are part of SJVN’s FDRE bid, while the Tamil Nadu portion will cater to Commercial & Industrial (C&I) power consumers. This distribution not only reflects Suzlon’s engineering versatility but also its ability to serve both public and private sector energy needs.
Another development that brought Suzlon share price in focus was the government’s decision to tighten norms for domestic sourcing in the wind energy sector.
Under the revised policy, critical wind turbine components like blades, towers, gearboxes, generators, and bearings must now be procured from entities listed on the Approved List of Models & Manufacturers (ALMM). This shift is expected to benefit domestic manufacturers like Suzlon, potentially increasing demand for their equipment and services.
On August 1, 2025, Suzlon Energy share price (NSE: SUZLON) opened at ₹31.28, up from its previous close of ₹61.60. At 11:40 AM, the share price of Suzlon Energy was trading at ₹65.24, up by 5.91% on the NSE.
