The Board of Directors of Shipping Corporation of India Ltd (SCI) has recommended a final dividend of ₹6.59 per equity share of face value ₹10 each, translating to 65.90% per share for the financial year ended March 31, 2025.
The proposed dividend is subject to approval by shareholders at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), which is to be held on September 19, 2025. The record date for determining shareholder eligibility is Friday, September 05, 2025. Only those holding shares as of this date will be entitled to the dividend.
If approved at the AGM, the dividend will be paid within 30 days from the date of approval, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
In the previous financial year, SCI declared a dividend of ₹0.50 per share (FY24), making the latest recommendation a significant increase in shareholder returns.

Shipping Corporation of India is into the business of transporting goods and passengers. For the quarter ended June 30, 2025, the company reported a revenue from operations of ₹1,31,568 lakh, compared to ₹1,32,466 lakh in the previous quarter and ₹1,51,407 lakh in the same quarter last year.
Consequently, the company’s total income reached ₹1,46,134 lakh, as against ₹1,39,948 lakh in the preceding quarter and ₹1,55,805 lakh in the year-ago period. The profit for the quarter was ₹34,323 lakh, significantly up from ₹17,217 lakh in Q4 FY25 and higher than ₹28,692 lakh reported in Q1 FY24. For the full year ended March 31, 2025, the company recorded total income of ₹5,78,537 lakh and a profit of ₹81,410 lakh.
