Reliance Leads ₹95,447 Crore Jump in Market Cap of Top Firms

Last week, 4 of India’s top ten most-valued companies saw their combined market capitalisation rise by ₹95,447.38 crore. Reliance Industries emerged as the biggest gainer, while others like HDFC Bank, TCS, and Infosys witnessed a fall in valuation.

Top Gainers

Reliance Industries’ market value jumped by ₹47,431.32 crore, taking its total valuation to ₹20,11,602.06 crore. State Bank of India (SBI) followed, adding ₹30,091.82 crore to reach ₹8,64,908.87 crore. Bharti Airtel’s market cap rose by ₹14,540.37 crore to ₹11,71,554.56 crore, and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) gained ₹3,383.87 crore, reaching ₹5,65,897.54 crore.

Major Losers

In contrast, 6 companies lost a total of ₹91,685.94 crore in market value. Bajaj Finance saw the biggest drop of ₹29,090.12 crore, followed by ICICI Bank with a decline of ₹21,618.9 crore. Infosys’ valuation fell by ₹17,822.38 crore, while Hindustan Unilever lost ₹11,924.17 crore. HDFC Bank’s mcap declined by ₹9,547.96 crore, and TCS by ₹1,682.41 crore.

Current Rankings

Reliance Industries remained India’s most valued company, followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, TCS, ICICI Bank, SBI, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, and LIC.
