PNB Halves ATM Cash Withdrawal Limit for Select Debit Cards To ₹50,000 And ₹75,000 From April 1, 2026

Punjab National Bank has announced a revision in the ATM cash withdrawal limit for select debit card variants. The revised limits will come into effect from April 1, 2026.
The move, according to the bank, is part of its effort to strengthen risk controls, improve customer safety and encourage secure digital banking practices.
PNB Announces Revision in ATM Cash Withdrawal Limit
Punjab National Bank has revised the per day ATM cash withdrawal limit for a set of debit card variants. The change will apply only to the cards specifically listed by the bank, while the limit for all other debit card variants will remain unchanged.
As per a statement on the PNB website, “The bank will revise the per day ATM cash withdrawal limits for the following debit card variants, as part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen risk controls, enhance customer safety and promote secure digital banking.
Debit Cards Where Limit Falls To ₹50,000
PNB has reduced the per day ATM cash withdrawal limit from ₹1,00,000 to ₹50,000 for the following debit card variants:
- RuPay NCMC Platinum Domestic Debit Card
- RuPay NCMC Platinum International Debit Card
- RuPay Women Power Platinum Debit Card
- RuPay PNB Palaash Debit Card – Recycled PVC Debit Card
- RuPay Business Platinum NCMC Debit Card
- MasterCard Platinum Debit Card
- VISA Gold Debit Card
- PNB MasterCard Platinum Rise
This means customers holding these cards will be able to withdraw up to ₹50,000 per day from ATMs after the revised rule takes effect.
Debit Cards Where Limit Falls To ₹75,000
For another category of cards, Punjab National Bank has reduced the per day ATM cash withdrawal limit from ₹1,50,000 to ₹75,000. These debit card variants include:
- RuPay Select Debit Card
- PNB RuPay Select Neo
- PNB RuPay Select Excel
- VISA Signature Debit Card
- MasterCard Business Debit Card
Cardholders in this category will see the revised per day withdrawal cap of ₹75,000 from April 1, 2026.
What Remains Unchanged
Punjab National Bank has clarified that the revised ATM cash withdrawal limit applies only to the debit card variants mentioned in its statement. For all other debit card variants not included in the list, the existing withdrawal limit will continue without any change.
This is an important point for customers, as not every PNB debit card holder will be affected by the revision. Only those using the specified RuPay, Visa and MasterCard variants will come under the new withdrawal structure.
Why PNB Has Revised the ATM Cash Withdrawal Limit
The bank has linked this revision to its broader efforts to strengthen risk controls and improve customer protection.
By lowering the ATM cash withdrawal limit on select cards, PNB appears to be focusing on safer banking usage and tighter control over cash related transactions.
The change also reflects the bank’s emphasis on secure digital banking, which has become a key area of focus for lenders as digital transactions continue to grow across the banking system.
Conclusion
Punjab National Bank’s latest revision in ATM cash withdrawal limit will come into effect from April 1, 2026, and will apply only to select debit card variants.
