Maruti Suzuki India is heading toward its strongest annual performance in almost 10 years. The stock has climbed 46% this year, reaching ₹15,903, and could end 2025 with its highest yearly return since 2017, when it soared 83%.
This sharp rise has also pushed Maruti Suzuki’s market value above ₹5 lakh crore, making it one of the few Indian companies to cross this milestone.
Although the stock had a weak start in early 2025, it gained stability in March and picked up pace from August. Investor sentiment improved due to:
During the festive period (22 September – 31 October 2025), Maruti Suzuki registered 400,000 units in sales, up from 211,000 units last year. Small cars were the main driver, contributing 250,000 units, a 100% YoY growth, signalling a solid comeback in the entry-level segment.
For the July–September quarter, Maruti delivered an in-line performance:
However, overall volumes stayed soft at 551,000 units, with domestic sales dipping 5.1% as customers waited for possible GST cuts. Exports, on the other hand, jumped 42% to a record 110,000 units. EBITDA margin came in at 10.5%, down 140 bps YoY.
For the second half of FY26 and beyond, the company expects:
Maruti Suzuki has also reaffirmed its long-term goal of achieving 50% market share in the passenger-vehicle segment. It plans to launch 8 new SUVs by 2031 (excluding the Victorious model) to support this target.
Maruti Suzuki India share price (NSE: MARUTI) is trading at ₹15,979, up ₹101 (0.64%) as of 1:27 pm on November 18. The stock opened at ₹15,878 and moved between a high of ₹15,988 and a low of ₹15,750 during the day. The company’s market capitalisation now stands at ₹5.02 lakh crore. Maruti Suzuki has a P/E ratio of 33.99 and offers a dividend yield of 0.84%. Over the past year, the stock has touched a 52-week high of ₹16,660 and a 52-week low of ₹10,725.
Maruti Suzuki’s strong stock performance in 2025 reflects a mix of robust festive demand, expectations of tax relief, and improving market sentiment. With rising exports, renewed interest in small cars, and multiple SUV launches ahead, the company is well-positioned for steady growth in the coming years.
