Trading members using third party platforms or in house systems through ETI APIs can utilise this session to validate connectivity, order flow and behaviour during exceptional market scenarios without any real settlement obligations.
For the equity segment, log in is scheduled from 09:15 AM to 09:45 AM, followed by a morning block deal window, pre-open order entry, matching, continuous trading for T1 and T0, special pre-open for IPO and re listed scrips, periodic call auction, auction for settlement, an afternoon block deal window, closing, post-closing and trade modification windows.
In equity derivatives, log in is from 09:45 AM to 10:00 AM, with a pre-open session including order entry, matching, buffer and continuous trading up to 01:00 PM for selected futures contracts enabled for pre-open testing.
For the currency derivatives segment, log in runs from 09:15 AM to 10:00 AM, with continuous trading in currency and cross currency derivatives scheduled from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM followed by trade modification up to 01:10 PM.

The mock trading is explicitly meant for testing and familiarisation, with trades executed during the session not attracting margins, pay in or pay out obligations and not creating enforceable rights or liabilities for participants.
For equity derivatives, a separate test contract master file with selected futures contracts for pre-open testing is being made available as Mock29 11 2025.zip on November 28, 2025, to be replaced with the live contract master file after the mock session.
Trading members are strongly advised to connect only during the specified log in windows, as attempts to connect earlier may encounter out of order broadcast messages due to internal testing by the exchange.
The exchange has requested members to actively participate and submit feedback on the mock trading session by 03:00 pm using the helpdesk and technology support contact channels provided in the notices, supporting continuous enhancement of trading infrastructure.
The November 29, 2025, mock trading session across equity, equity derivatives, currency derivatives and commodity derivatives on BSE Ltd. is structured to test diverse functionalities including pre-open mechanisms, call auctions, risk reduction modes and trade modification workflows. Coordinated timing, clear segment wise schedules and dedicated test files aim to help market participants validate systems in a controlled environment ahead of live operations.
