Bharat Taxi which is speculative to officially launched on January 1, 2026, targeting Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The platform is managed by Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited with backing from major cooperatives such as Amul, IFFCO and NABARD.
It stands apart from other ride-hailing apps by adopting a cooperative model, giving drivers a stake in operations, profit share and board representation. Over 51,000 drivers enrolled even before the launch, reflecting strong interest.
The platform's zero-commission policy allows drivers to earn the full fare amount. Bharat Taxi offers competitive and upfront fare estimates visible before ride confirmation.
Unlike surge pricing seen in other platforms, this service aims to eliminate or significantly reduce price spikes, especially during high demand periods.
Users can book rides via the Bharat Taxi mobile application, available on Android and iOS. The registration process includes mobile number verification and profile setup.
Accessibility features include a disability status option for custom ride preferences. Bookable services include city rides, metro-linked travel, and intercity trips, all from the app interface.

The app provides real-time vehicle tracking, ride-sharing details, and 24x7 customer service. Drivers undergo full background verification and are linked with local law enforcement for emergencies.
