Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 16 April, 2024

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading in the red with the Sensex down around 340 points or 0.46% at 73,061, while the Nifty-50 was down around 71 points or 0.32% at 22,203. About 2,342 shares have advanced; 1,175 declined and 149 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Titan Company Ltd, Tata Steel Ltd, and Nestle India Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Bajaj FinServ Ltd, IndusInd Bank, and Infosys Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading in the green with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.20% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.95%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Endurance Technologies Ltd and General Insurance Corporation of India, while the top small-cap gainers were Ram Ratan Wires Ltd and Bhageria Industries Ltd.

The BSE Oil & Gas Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Information Technology Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Oil & Gas Index gained by 1.80%, up by Oil & Natural Gas Ltd and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd while the BSE Information Technology Index is down by 0.95% dragged by Ramco Systems Ltd and LTI Mindtree Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Sterlite Technologies Ltd, Exide Industries Ltd, and Marksans Pharma Ltd.
