On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with the Sensex up around 416 points or 0.65% at 64,495 and the Nifty-50 up around 131 points or 0.68% at 19,265. About 2,402 shares have advanced, 943 declined, and 156 are unchanged on the BSE.
The top Sensex gainers were Tata Motors Ltd, Titan Company Ltd and JSW Steel Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, NTPC Ltd and Bajaj Finance Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.75% and the BSE Small-cap index up 1%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Torrent Power Ltd and Container Corporation of India Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd and Gallantt Ispat Ltd.
All the sectoral indices were trading in green with The BSE Realty Ltd Index and BSE Auto Index being the top gainers. The BSE Realty Index gained by 1.70%, up by Indiabulls Real Estate Projects Ltd and DLF India Ltd and the BSE Auto Index is up by 1.01% led by Tata Motors Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
