Flipkart’s quick commerce service, Flipkart Minutes, experienced a 16X increase in order volume during H2 2025, led by demand from Gen Z users and expansion into smaller cities, as per news reports.

The platform also saw over 53 million unique visitors in the same period.

Massive Order Growth and Strong Customer Retention

In H2 2025, Flipkart Minutes experienced a 16-fold increase in order count compared to H1, driven primarily by Gen Z adoption. The platform also recorded over 53 million unique users during the half-year.

High-ticket categories such as gems and jewellery, premium electronics, mobile phones and home décor posted a nearly 10X increase in demand during this period. A key draw remained fresh produce, which accounted for 45% of transaction baskets, making it the largest traffic contributor.

Tier-2 and Tier-3 Expansion Strategy

Flipkart Minutes expanded operations to 30 new cities in 2025, with focused entry into tier-2 and tier-3 locations including Rohtak, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Arrah and Zirakpur.

The service is now accessible in major metro areas such as Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Lucknow, among others. More than 6,00,000 users placed repeat orders within 7 days, showcasing strong customer engagement.

Technology and Farm-to-Home Model Drive Experience

Flipkart’s technology-led supply chain and robust partner ecosystem helped support the scale and reliability of Minutes’ operations.

The company initiated direct sourcing of vegetables and fruits from over 2,000 farmers under its Samarth Krishi initiative. This farm-to-home model ensures fresh produce while offering prices starting at ₹9, enhancing affordability and quality.

Conclusion

Flipkart Minutes saw significant engagement in H2 2025, with strong adoption by Gen Z consumers and a strategic push into smaller cities. High repeat order rates, growing demand in premium categories and fresh produce as a volume driver contributed to the service’s growth.
