RVNL has secured a strong position in a major railway infrastructure tender after emerging as the lowest bidder (L1) for a large EPC project awarded by East Coast Railway.
The development strengthens the company’s order pipeline in core railway infrastructure execution.
The project is valued at approximately ₹967.92 crore (₹967,92,66,661.70), including 18% GST, and involves the construction of key bridge structures as part of railway line expansion works.
The contract forms part of capacity enhancement on the Bhadrak–Vizianagaram section, a critical route in the East Coast Railway network.
The scope includes construction of multiple large bridges across key rivers such as Mahanadi, Birupa, Kathjori, and Kuakhai.
These bridges are being developed as part of the 3rd and 4th line expansion between Nergundi–Barang and Khurda Road–Vizianagaram sections, aimed at improving network capacity and reducing congestion.
The project will be executed under the EPC model.
RVNL is expected to complete the project within a period of 3 years. The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and falls within the company’s regular business operations.
No related party involvement has been indicated in the contract.
Emerging as the L1 bidder positions RVNL favourably for order finalisation, subject to award confirmation.
The project adds to the company’s strong presence in railway infrastructure development, particularly in track doubling and capacity expansion works.
As of 16 April 2026, at 3:30 PM, RVNL share price closed at ₹294.48 per share, reflecting a surge of 2.58% from the previous closing price.
RVNL’s L1 status for the ₹967 crore railway project reinforces its execution capabilities in large-scale infrastructure projects and strengthens its medium-term order visibility.
