Shares of select healthcare companies saw price movement during the Budget session as investors assessed policy signals linked to medical tourism and healthcare infrastructure. 

The Union Budget 2026 outlined plans to develop regional medical hubs in partnership with the private sector, combining treatment, education, diagnostics and post-care facilities. These announcements influenced sentiment across hospital stocks.

Budget Measures Supporting Medical Tourism

The Budget proposed the development of five regional medical tourism hubs through public–private partnerships. 

These hubs are expected to integrate hospitals, medical education, diagnostic services and post-treatment care facilities, with the aim of strengthening India’s position as a destination for medical services.

Max Healthcare Institute Ltd

Shares of Max Healthcare Institute Ltd traded higher following the Budget announcement. The stock moved within a range of ₹951.00 to ₹996.25 during the session, compared with a previous close of ₹957.05.

Global Health Ltd (Medanta)

Global Health Ltd, which operates under the Medanta brand, saw a sharper rise during the session. The stock gained over 5%, trading as high as ₹1,115.00 against a previous close of ₹1,055.05. 

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd

Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd also edged higher. The stock traded around ₹7,011.00, up modestly from its previous close of ₹6,959.90.
