IndiGo Share Price in Focus; Revenue Rises in Q3 FY26 Results

InterGlobe Aviation (NSE: INDIGO), operating under the IndiGo brand, reported its financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2025.
The airline recorded total income of ₹245,406 million, marking a year-on-year growth of 6.7%. Revenue from operations rose by 6.2% to ₹234,719 million during the quarter.
Net profit for the quarter stood at ₹5,491 million, compared to ₹24,488 million in the corresponding period last year. The decline was primarily due to exceptional expenses and adverse currency movements during the quarter.
Impact of Exceptional Items and Adjusted Profit
Exceptional items during the quarter included costs related to the implementation of new labour laws amounting to ₹9,693 million and operational disruption-related expenses of ₹5,772 million. Additionally, currency movement linked to dollar-based future obligations impacted results by ₹10,350 million.
Excluding these exceptional items and forex impact, IndiGo reported an adjusted net profit of ₹31,306 million, compared to an adjusted net profit of ₹38,461 million in the same quarter last year.
Operational Performance and Traffic Trends
On a consolidated basis, capacity increased by 11.2% year-on-year to 45.4 billion available seat kilometres. Passenger numbers rose by 2.8% to 31.9 million during the quarter.
Yield declined by 1.8% to ₹5.33, while the load factor decreased by 2.4 percentage points to 84.6%. Despite pricing pressure, strong network scale supported steady operational performance.
Revenue Mix and Cost Overview
Passenger ticket revenues stood at ₹204,640 million, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 6.2%. Ancillary revenues rose by 13.6% to ₹24,462 million, highlighting growing contribution from non-ticket income streams.
Cash Position, Debt, and Fleet Expansion
As of December 31, 2025, IndiGo maintained a total cash balance of ₹516,069 million, comprising ₹369,445 million of free cash and ₹146,624 million of restricted cash. Total debt, including capitalised operating lease liabilities, stood at ₹768,583 million.
The airline operated a fleet of 440 aircraft at quarter-end, reflecting a net addition of 23 passenger aircraft during the quarter. IndiGo reached a peak of 2,344 daily flights and served 96 domestic and 44 international destinations.
Outlook and Capacity Growth
IndiGo expects its capacity in terms of available seat kilometres to grow by around 10% in the fourth quarter of FY26 compared to the same period last year.
