Hindustan Copper share price (NSE: HINDCOPPER) extended its rally for the fifth straight session and hit a fresh 52-week high of ₹430.50 in early trade on Wednesday.
The stock opened with a strong gap-up at ₹418 on the NSE and climbed nearly 5% in the opening minutes. Over the last 5 sessions, the share price has gained around 17%, rising from ₹368.20 last week.
The rally is mainly due to a surge in global copper prices. Higher prices are expected to improve the company’s margins, especially from its short-term buffer stock, which could boost earnings in upcoming quarters.
Rising interest in electric vehicles (EVs) and artificial intelligence (AI) is also supporting the stock. Copper is a key input for EV batteries and semiconductor manufacturing, increasing long-term demand for the metal.
