After a strong rally in previous sessions, the Indian stock market paused its upward momentum on June 17. The Sensex declined by 212 points, settling at 81,583, while the Nifty slipped 93 points to close at 24,853, reflecting cautious investor sentiment amid global uncertainties.

Stocks to Watch on June 18, 2025

Polycab India

Polycab bagged a ₹6,447.54 crore order from BSNL under the BharatNet project. It will design, build, and maintain digital infrastructure in Karnataka, Goa, and Puducherry.

Hindustan Zinc

The Vedanta group company, Hindustan Zinc is investing ₹12,000 crore over the next 3 years to increase refined metal production by 250 KTPA. Mines and mills across India will also be expanded.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T)

At its 80th AGM, L&T announced clean energy progress. It’s working on green hydrogen electrolysers and has early access to U.S.-approved small modular reactor (SMR) technology for nuclear energy.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M)

M&M has received the Competition Commission of India's (CCI) nod to acquire 58.96% of SML Isuzu. The ₹1,554.60/share deal includes buying stakes from Sumitomo and Isuzu, plus an open offer for 26% more.

UGRO Capital

UGRO is set to fully acquire Profectus Capital for ₹1,400 crore in cash. The deal is being funded by internal reserves and recently raised capital and is likely to close in 2–3 months.

Ola Electric

Ola Electric is eliminating all commission fees for its drivers—whether on autos, bikes, or cabs—allowing them to take home 100% of their earnings.

Tata Power Renewable Energy

Tata Power has launched the "Ghar Ghar Solar" campaign in Bhubaneswar. Rooftop solar systems are now available from just ₹2,499 for 1 kW, making solar energy more affordable for households.

GMR Airports

In May 2025, GMR Airports handled over 1 crore passengers. While domestic travel remained steady, international traffic grew by 2.9% YoY. Aircraft movements rose 6.3% to nearly 65,000.

RailTel

RailTel received a Letter of Intent worth ₹43.99 crore from ZENICS for the Mizo Fibre Grid Network (MFGN). This project will improve internet connectivity in Mizoram and the broader Northeast.
