
Quant Small Cap Fund increased its holdings in several stocks during March, including Adani Enterprises and HDFC Bank. The fund added 2.96 lakh shares of Adani Enterprises, taking its total holding to 27.64 lakh shares, up from 24.68 lakh shares in February.
Similarly, it increased its stake in HDFC Bank by 7.53 lakh shares, bringing total holdings to 21.48 lakh shares. These additions reflect the fund’s strategy of strengthening positions in select large and mid-sized companies.
The fund also made notable additions in other stocks, including IRB Infrastructure Developers, where it added 3.66 crore shares, taking total holdings to 7.33 crore shares. It also added 75 lakh shares of Manappuram Finance.
Further additions were made in Ravindra Energy, Sequent Scientific, Black Box, Capri Global Capital, Marathon Nextgen Realty, and Sudeep Pharma. These investments highlight the fund’s focus on diversified opportunities across sectors.
During the month, Safari Industries India was added as a new stock in the portfolio. The fund did not reduce its stake in any stock or make a complete exit, indicating a broadly positive outlook on its existing holdings.
Exposure in 89 stocks remained unchanged, including companies such as Adani Green Energy, Reliance Industries, and ICICI Bank. The total number of stocks increased slightly to 100, covering nearly 25 sectors.
The fund’s assets under management stood at ₹25,820 crore in March, compared to ₹27,653 crore in February. Despite the decline in AUM, the fund continues to follow its objective of long-term capital appreciation by investing in small-cap companies.
The fund house also highlighted a gradual increase in large-cap exposure over the past year, reflecting a defensive strategy aimed at improving liquidity and reducing the impact of market volatility.

The March portfolio changes indicate that Quant Small Cap Fund is actively rebalancing its portfolio while maintaining diversification. Its increased exposure to financials and infrastructure, along with a cautious shift towards large caps, suggests a balanced approach to navigating market uncertainties while targeting long-term growth.
