Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company (KMAMC) has announced that the Kotak Flexicap Fund has completed 15 years since its launch, marking a significant milestone for one of its flagship equity schemes.
According to the AMC, the fund has delivered a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.59% since inception, reflecting steady long-term performance across different market cycles.
The fund’s Direct Plan – Growth Option has generated a CAGR of 15.70% over the past 10 years and 16.87% over five years as of December 31, 2025. The AMC attributes this performance to a disciplined investment strategy that balances opportunities across large-, mid-, and small-cap stocks.
Flexicap funds offer fund managers the flexibility to shift allocations across market capitalisations depending on prevailing opportunities and valuations, helping manage risk while capturing growth.
As of December 2025, the fund’s portfolio allocation comprised around 73% in large-cap stocks, 19% in mid-cap companies, and 5% in small-cap stocks. Key sector exposures include financial services, automobiles, capital goods, chemicals, construction materials, and consumer services.
Harsha Upadhyaya, CIO at Kotak Mahindra AMC, stated that the fund focuses on businesses with durable earnings growth and strong capital efficiency, using a combination of bottom-up stock selection and top-down sector analysis.
Nilesh Shah, Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra AMC, said the achievement reflects long-term investor trust and the continued relevance of flexicap strategies, which allow dynamic asset allocation based on investment opportunities.
However, the AMC reiterated that past performance does not guarantee future returns, and investments remain subject to market risks.
