
The Abakkus Small Cap Fund, supported by Sunil Singhania, has revealed its first portfolio following its New Fund Offer (NFO). This portfolio includes 42 stocks, with Karur Vysya Bank holding the top spot in terms of allocation.
The Abakkus Small Cap Fund, which officially commenced on March 17, 2026, has disclosed its initial portfolio organisation. Karur Vysya Bank, based on net assets percentage, holds approximately a 2% allocation, equating to 3,00,000 shares valued at ₹8.68 crore.
Additionally, Kirloskar Oil Engines and ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India account for 1.76% and 1.75% respectively.
The portfolio also includes Urban Company with a 1.7% allocation, holding 6,50,000 shares, while Equitas Small Finance Bank and IIFL Finance have allocations of 1.43% and 1.42% respectively. Sansera Engineering and Ion Exchange (India) hold a 1.4% share each.
The fund's portfolio spans 19 sectors, highlighting a 6.64% allocation towards banks, and 5.24% towards healthcare stocks.
The fund aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing in a diverse range of small-cap companies within India.
This strategy coincides with attractive valuations seen in small-cap equities offering growth prospects.
The fund's asset allocation sees 65-100% directed towards equity and related instruments of small-cap companies, and allocations of up to 35% in companies outside of small-cap.
Debt securities and market instruments can form up to another 35%, while up to 10% is dedicated to units by InvITs.
