
Tata Steel Limited on October 29, 2025, announced that it has acquired 159,20,39,801 equity shares of T Steel Holdings Pte. Ltd (TSHP), a wholly owned foreign subsidiary of the company. The shares have a face value of USD 0.1005 each, aggregating to a total investment of USD 160 million (₹1,409.02 crore).
The transaction is part of a series of capital infusions made by Tata Steel into TSHP during 2025. Earlier fund infusions were disclosed through stock exchange filings on May 12, June 25, July 10, August 26, and September 24, 2025.
Following this acquisition, T Steel Holdings Pte. Ltd will continue to remain a wholly owned foreign subsidiary of Tata Steel.
In its exchange filing, Tata Steel stated that the disclosure has been made in compliance with Regulation 30 and 51, read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, as amended.
The exchange rate used for this transaction, as per the Reserve Bank of India’s reference rate on October 27, 2025, was ₹88.0637 per USD.
T Steel Holdings Pte. Ltd, incorporated in Singapore, serves as an investment arm of Tata Steel for its international operations and strategic ventures. The additional equity infusion aims to support ongoing projects and strengthen the company’s overseas balance sheet.
As of October 30, 2025 shares of Tata Steel Ltd were trading at ₹183.30, down 1.02% at 11:47 AM on the NSE from the previous close of ₹185.19. The stock recorded a day’s high of ₹185.19 and a low of ₹182.64.

The equity infusion reaffirms Tata Steel’s focus on strengthening its global operations through its Singapore-based subsidiary. The move is consistent with the company’s ongoing capital allocation strategy aimed at supporting long-term international growth and financial stability.
