
Samvardhana Motherson International Limited announced its consolidated unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2025.
The global auto components and diversified manufacturing conglomerate with 300-plus subsidiaries across 45 countries demonstrated revenue growth, though profitability declined YoY due to exceptional restructuring expenses of ₹36.16 crore, while delivering strong QoQ profit recovery of 62% powered by operational improvements.
For the quarter ended September 30, 2025, Samvardhana Motherson achieved consolidated revenue from operations of ₹30,172.97 crore, registering growth of 8% YoY, though flat QoQ. Total income stood at ₹30,294.19 crore, up 8% YoY. EBITDA reached ₹2,719.21 crore, up 3% YoY and 10% QoQ.
Profit before tax stood at ₹1,237.01 crore, declining marginally 0.4% YoY but surging 42% QoQ. Profit after tax stood at ₹845.63 crore, declining 10.87% YoY but jumping 39.52% QoQ. Basic and diluted earnings per share were ₹0.78 for the quarter compared to ₹0.86 in Q2 FY25, post-bonus share issuance in July 2025.
For the half year ended September 30, 2025, consolidated revenue from operations reached ₹60,384.97 crore, up 7% from ₹56,679.82 crore in H1 FY25. EBITDA stood at ₹5,185.06 crore, declining 4% from ₹5,426.58 crore previously.
Half-year PBT stood at ₹2,108.85 crore, declining 22% from ₹2,687.61 crore due to exceptional restructuring expenses of ₹172.65 crore. PAT attributable to owners came to ₹1,338.84 crore, down 29% from ₹1,873.91 crore in H1 FY25. Earnings per share for the half year were ₹1.27 versus ₹1.84 YoY.

The Wiring Harness segment recorded revenue of ₹8,549.64 crore with a segment result of ₹893.74 crore in Q2 FY26.
The Modules and Polymer Products segment delivered revenue of ₹15,373.83 crore with a result of ₹1,137.72 crore, the largest contributor. Vision Systems generated revenue of ₹5,083.78 crore with a result of ₹469.22 crore.
The Integrated Assemblies segment, newly introduced post SAS acquisition, contributed revenue of ₹2,580.11 crore with a result of ₹315.20 crore.
Emerging Businesses comprising Elastomers, Lighting and Electronics, Precision Metals, Technology Solutions, Logistics, Aerospace and Health and Medical operations generated revenue of ₹4,001.27 crore with a result of ₹379.79 crore.
The company incurred exceptional expenses of ₹36.16 crore in Q2 FY26 and ₹172.65 crore in H1 FY26 relating to cost optimisation measures announced on April 10, 2025. These expenses pertain to phased operational restructuring at certain units primarily located in Europe, impacting profitability comparisons with prior year periods.
Shareholders approved bonus share issuance on July 7, 2025, in the proportion of 1 bonus equity share for every 2 existing shares.
Upon issuance on July 21, 2025, paid-up capital increased to ₹1,055.44 crore, comprising 10,55,44,42,601 equity shares of ₹1 each. Basic and diluted EPS have been adjusted for all periods to reflect bonus impact as per Ind AS 33.
The consolidated results include 303 subsidiaries across 45 countries, 2 associates and 17 joint ventures.
Major subsidiaries include SMR automotive mirror systems, SMP automotive modules, PKC wiring systems, Motherson Yachiyo automotive systems, Motherson Aerospace, Motherson Lumen special cables and Motherson Technology Services spanning the global automotive component manufacturing ecosystem.
Total assets stood at ₹1,00,834.45 crore as of September 30, 2025, up from ₹92,847.29 crore at March 31, 2025. Equity attributable to owners reached ₹37,132.42 crore.
Long-term borrowings stood at ₹10,060.98 crore, while short-term borrowings were ₹6,768.73 crore. Debt equity ratio improved to 0.45 times from 0.42 times at year's end.
Net cash generated from operating activities stood at ₹3,419.13 crore for H1 FY26 compared to ₹1,428.13 crore in H1 FY25.
Capital expenditure on property, plant and equipment totalled ₹2,695.23 crore. Dividend paid during the period aggregated ₹564.21 crore. Cash and equivalents stood at ₹6,480.89 crore at period end.
