Piramal Enterprises share price (NSE: PEL) rose 3.6% on September 17, 2025, touching an intraday high of ₹1,185 on BSE. At 11:37 AM, the stock traded at ₹1,185, outperforming the BSE Sensex, which was up 0.33% at 82,650. The company’s market capitalization stands at ₹26,861 crore, with a 52-week high of ₹1,355.9 and a low of ₹849.9.

What Triggered the Spike?

The rally came after the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai Bench, approved the merger scheme of Piramal Enterprises with its subsidiary, Piramal Finance. The merger became effective on September 16, 2025, leading to the dissolution of Piramal Finance without winding up, as per the approved scheme.

The company had filed a petition with NCLT on July 8, 2025, seeking approval for this merger, which had already been accepted by the majority of equity shareholders and secured creditors in meetings held on July 2, 2025.
