NTPC Green Energy Signs MoU with ENEOS Corporation; Share Price in Focus

NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan’s ENEOS Corporation on October 10, 2025. The MoU was announced at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka. Under the agreement, NGEL may supply green methanol and green hydrogen derivative products to ENEOS.

Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka

The MoU is linked to NGEL’s Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh. The hub covers 1,200 acres and is being developed as a facility for green chemicals production and export. The site will produce hydrogen derivatives and related products to supply ENEOS if the agreement is finalised.

Renewable Energy Plans

NGEL has set a target to achieve 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032. The company is working on multiple solar and wind energy projects across India. The collaboration with ENEOS forms part of NGEL’s broader work in renewable energy and hydrogen production.

Developments in Gujarat

NGEL signed another MoU with the Government of Gujarat on October 9. This agreement includes solar projects totalling 10 GW and wind projects of 5 GW. In September, NGEL began commercial operations of 25 MW solar capacity in Bhuj, part of a 37.5 MW project under its joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private.

With these additions, NGEL’s commercial capacity reached 7,382.475 MW, while total installed capacity is 7,407.475 MW.

NTPC Green Energy Share Price Performance 

As of October 13,  2025, 10:38  AM, NTPC Green Energy share price was trading at ₹98.90, a 0.68% decline from the previous closing price. 

Conclusion

The MoU with ENEOS and projects in Gujarat are part of NGEL’s operations. The company continues to develop renewable energy capacity and infrastructure for green hydrogen and solar energy production.
