India's consumer price inflation rose to 2.07% in August 2025, up from a revised 1.61% in July, broadly in line with market expectations. This marked the first monthly uptick in inflation in ten months, although it stayed near the Reserve Bank of India's lower tolerance limit of 2% under its inflation-targeting framework.
At the same time, inflation data from the US will be closely monitored, as it can impact global risk sentiment, foreign institutional investor (FII) flows, and currency market movements.
