Jyothy Labs Limited, a leading FMCG company in India, released its financial results for Q2 FY26. The company reported a 16% year-on-year fall in net profit to ₹87.8 crore compared to ₹104.9 crore last year. Its revenue remained almost unchanged at ₹736 crore, showing a slight growth of 0.4%, supported by a 2.8% increase in volume.

The company’s operating EBITDA margin slipped to 16.1% from 18.9% YoY, reflecting cost pressures and slower demand recovery in certain categories.

Jyothy Labs Q2 FY26 Earnings: Segment-Wise Performance

Fabric Care

The fabric care segment including products like liquid detergent, fabric whitener, and enhancer grew by 6.1% during the quarter. The liquid detergent range more than doubled its revenue compared to last year, driven by strong demand. Jyothy Labs also introduced ‘Dr. Wool’, a new premium product for specialized garment care.

Dishwashing Segment

The dishwashing segment saw a 3.8% decline in value, mainly due to lower prices and promotional offers. However, volumes grew by 3.4%, with liquid products performing better than bars, supported by strong brand recognition.

Personal Care

The personal care division recorded a 4.3% drop, affected by temporary GST-related disruptions. The company expects this segment to recover in the coming quarters.

Household Insecticides

This segment reported an 8.9% decline due to weak category demand. However, products like Maxo Aerosols and Anti-Mosquito Racquets have started gaining traction, and the company aims to improve profitability here in the medium term.

Management’s View

M.R. Jyothy, Chairperson and Managing Director, said Q2 was a “transition quarter” impacted by GST rate changes and short-term supply adjustments, but noted that the company’s core business remained resilient with continued volume growth.

She highlighted Jyothy Labs’ strong financial position, ending the first half with ₹801 crore in cash and zero debt. The company remains confident about improved performance in the second half, supported by stable input costs and a gradual recovery in demand.
