Infosys has released performance-linked bonuses for the September quarter, offering employees an average payout of 75% of their eligible amount. The bonus distribution covers staff across job levels 4, 5 and 6, which include a large portion of the company’s workforce.
Employees at job level 4 received varied payouts depending on their performance ratings. Those in the ‘outstanding’ category received the highest share at 83%. ‘Commendable’ performers were allocated 78.5%, while employees who ‘met expectations’ were given 75%.
Across all eligible levels, payouts for the quarter ranged between 70.5% and 83%, changing slightly with job roles and individual assessments.
This cycle marks a small decline compared with the April–June quarter, when average payouts stood at around 80%, and individual bonuses ranged between 75% and 89%. Some employees noted their bonus this time was 5–7% lower than the previous cycle.
The company extended the payout to employees in key delivery and operational roles, including:
These roles form a major part of Infosys’s base of more than 323,000 employees. Even those marked under categories such as ‘outstanding’, ‘commendable’, ‘met expectations’, and ‘non-applicable’ were included in the bonus cycle, allowing for broad coverage across teams.
According to internal communication, the bonus for the September quarter will be added to November salaries. Delivery managers have been instructed to allocate and distribute the payouts within their respective teams based on performance evaluations.
The communication also acknowledged the efforts of employees and highlighted their importance in meeting the company’s goals.
Infosys has completed the internal rollout but has not issued a formal public statement.
Infosys’s bonus distribution for the September quarter reflects a stable but slightly lower payout trend compared with the previous cycle. With an average payout of 75% and a wide range across performance categories, the company continues to link rewards closely to individual performance. The broad coverage across key job levels ensures that a large part of the workforce remains included in the quarterly incentive structure.
