Starting August 15, 2025, private vehicle owners can purchase an annual FASTag pass for ₹3,000, providing up to 200 toll-free trips on national highways. The scheme offers substantial savings potential for frequent highway users across India.
The pass costs ₹3,000 with a validity of 1 year from activation or until 200 trips are completed, whichever comes first. Coverage includes all toll plaza crossings across India's national highway network. Only non-commercial private light motor vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans are eligible, excluding commercial vehicles.
Regular toll charges range between ₹50 and ₹120 per trip. For a maximum usage scenario of 200 trips at ₹100 average toll, the total cost would be ₹20,000 versus a ₹3,000 annual pass, delivering ₹17,000 savings or an 85% reduction. Even moderate usage of 100 trips annually saves ₹5,000.

Activation and renewal are available through the Rajmarg Yatra App, along with the official websites of NHAI and MoRTH. The digital-first approach ensures convenient access for millions of highway users planning to benefit from this scheme.
The initiative particularly helps frequent inter-city travellers, daily highway commuters, weekend road-trippers, and drivers facing multiple toll points within 60km stretches. Benefits include reduced FASTag wallet deductions, fewer toll booth disputes, and simplified annual budgeting.
The FASTag annual pass launching August 15, 2025, at ₹3,000 for 200 toll-free trips represents a transformative initiative for highway travel. With potential savings up to ₹20,000 annually and coverage across India's national highway network, the scheme offers significant value for frequent highway users while simplifying toll payment processes through digital platforms.
