On March 4, 2024, the Nifty 50 increased by 0.12% to 22,405, and the Sensex rose by 0.09% to 73,872. Foreign Institutional Investors sold shares worth ₹564 crores, while Domestic Institutional Investors showed buying activity of shares worth ₹3,542 crores.

Top Gainers and Losers

Nifty Oil and Gas, Nifty Financial Services 25/50, Nifty Private Bank and Nifty Financial Services saw gains, while Nifty Media, Nifty IT, Nifty Auto and Nifty FMCG fell. The top gainers were NTPC, GAIL, Tata Power and Zydus Life, and the top losers were Berger Paint, Adani Wilmar Limited, Eicher Motors and Bajaj Holdings.
