The top Sensex gainers were HCL Technologies Ltd, Wipro Ltd and Tech Mahindra Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Bajaj Finance Ltd, Ultratech Cement Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.23% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.51%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Solar Industries India Ltd and Oberoi Realty Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Kopran Ltd and Prataap Snacks Ltd.
The BSE Information Technology Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Capital Goods Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Information Technology Index soared 0.65% led by Cyient Ltd and 63 Moons Technologies Ltd while the BSE Capital Goods Index was down 0.58% dragged down by Suzlon Energy Ltd and Bharat Electronics Ltd.
