Big Tree Entertainment, the company that operates BookMyShow, reported a consolidated net profit of ₹192 crore for the financial year ended March 2025, as per The Economic Times report.
This was higher than the ₹109 crore profit reported in the previous year. The company’s filings show that higher revenue across its core businesses contributed to the increase.
Total income rose to ₹1,869 crore in FY25 from ₹1,430 crore a year earlier, according to Registrar of Companies data.
Over the same period, total expenses increased to ₹1,704 crore from ₹1,320 crore. The rise in costs was largely linked to the scale-up of live events and related operational spending.
Online ticketing remained the largest revenue segment for the company. Revenue from ticketing stood at ₹828 crore in FY25, compared with ₹741 crore in the previous financial year.
The segment benefited from cinema releases as well as ticket sales for entertainment events across multiple formats.
Revenue from live events increased to ₹756 crore in FY25, up from ₹455 crore in the prior year. The company hosted a larger number of music festivals, concerts and stand-up comedy shows during the year. Its portfolio includes recurring event properties such as Lollapalooza India.
During 2025, BookMyShow acted as the ticketing partner for Coldplay’s India concerts as part of the Music of the Spheres World Tour. These events added to ticket volumes for the year. The platform also saw activity from several film releases during the same period.
BookMyShow is the largest online entertainment ticketing platform in India. It operates in a competitive market and faces competition from platforms such as District. The company declined to comment on its financial results.
