On May 28, 2025, the BSE Sensex closed lower by 241.35 points at 81,310.28, while the Nifty 50 lost 73.75 points to settle at 24,752.45.

Broad market weakness continued for the second consecutive day, led by selling in banking, healthcare, and metals stocks. Despite some strength in financials and telecom, overall sentiment remained cautious.

HDFC Life surged 1.51%, opening at ₹779.80 and reaching a high of ₹790.75 before closing at ₹787.55.

2. Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL)

BEL rose 1.27%, opening at ₹385.45 and touching ₹393.50 during the day.

3. Bajaj Finance

Bajaj Finance climbed 1.21% to close at ₹9,282.00 after hitting an intraday high of ₹9,294.50.

4. Hero MotoCorp

Hero MotoCorp gained 0.87%, opening at ₹4,368.00 and closing at ₹4,376.00.

5. Bharti Airtel

Bharti Airtel ended the session up 0.63%, closing at ₹1,855.50 after hitting ₹1,867.00 intraday.

UltraTech Cement ended down 1.82%, closing at ₹11,213 from an open of ₹11,455.

4. Hindalco

Hindalco fell 1.65%, ending at ₹648.60 after hitting a low of ₹647.90.

5. Nestlé India

Nestlé India shares slid 1.62%, closing at ₹2,421.
