On Monday, June 23, 2025, Indian benchmark equity indices closed lower, marking a weak start to the week. The market decline came as investors reacted to rising geopolitical tensions following the United States' airstrikes on three nuclear sites in Iran in support of Israel amid the ongoing West Asia conflict. 

The BSE Sensex fell by 511.38 points, or 0.62%, ending the session at 81,896.79. During the day, the index fluctuated within a range of 82,169.67 to 81,476.76.
