Tata Power Q3FY26 Earnings Results: Reports ₹1,194 Crore PAT; Revenue Drops 4% YoY

Tata Power reported a consolidated profit after tax of ₹1,194 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, slightly higher than ₹1,188 crore in the same quarter last year. EBITDA for the period rose 12% year-on-year to ₹3,913 crore. Revenue stood at ₹14,485 crore, lower by 4% compared with the year-ago quarter.  

For the 9-month period, profit reached ₹3,702 crore, up 7% year-on-year. EBITDA increased 12% to ₹11,874 crore, while revenue rose 1% to ₹47,719 crore.  

Distribution and Transmission 

The distribution segment reported quarterly profit of ₹746 crore, up 167% from the previous year. Odisha distribution companies contributed ₹226 crore, marking a 163% increase.  

Transmission operations posted profit of ₹166 crore for the quarter, up 80% year-on-year. During the period, the company installed around 5.75 lakh smart meters, taking total installations across the country to more than 46.5 lakh.  

Renewable and Manufacturing Businesses 

The renewable energy segment reported profit of ₹547 crore in the quarter, a 156% increase from a year earlier. Segment revenue rose 78% to ₹3,785 crore, while EBITDA increased 66% to ₹1,637 crore.  

Solar cell and module manufacturing recorded profit of ₹251 crore, up 124% year-on-year. Output during the quarter stood at 962 MW of cells and 990 MW of modules.  

Rooftop solar operations reported profit of ₹111 crore, an 85% increase from the same quarter last year, supported by additional installations.  

Capacity and Project Activity 

Total installed capacity stood at 16.3 GW as of December 2025. The company executed about 1.3 GW of renewable projects during the quarter and crossed 10 GW in cumulative renewable EPC projects.  

Utility-scale renewable capacity reached 6.1 GW, including 4.9 GW of solar and 1.2 GW of wind.

Tata Power Share Price Performance 

As of February 5, 2026, 10:57 am, Tata Power Company Ltd share price was trading at ₹362.00, a 2.57% down from the previous closing price. 

Conclusion 

Quarterly profit was largely flat year-on-year, while EBITDA improved. Growth in distribution, renewable, and manufacturing segments supported earnings despite a decline in revenue.
