Swiggy’s quick commerce arm Instamart has taken a measured step into offline consumer engagement by launching an experiential store in Gurugram, as per news reports.
The initiative comes at a time when rapid delivery platforms are exploring new ways to deepen customer interaction beyond app-based shopping.
The Gurugram outlet is designed as a small, Instamart-branded experiential format rather than a full-fledged retail store. Spanning about 400 sq ft, the space carries a sharply curated assortment of around 100–200 stock-keeping units, a fraction of the 15,000–20,000 SKUs typically housed in Instamart’s dark stores.
The focus is on categories such as fresh fruits and vegetables, pulses, new product launches and direct-to-consumer brands, allowing shoppers to physically examine select items before ordering online.
These experiential stores are operated by sellers in and around residential societies, following a model similar to Instamart’s dark stores.
Under this structure, sales proceeds are routed directly to sellers instead of being collected by Swiggy first.

As of December 22, 2025, at 9:29 AM, Swiggy Ltd share price is trading at ₹409.30 per share, reflecting a decline of 0.30% from the previous closing price.
The pilot follows closely after Swiggy’s ₹10,000 crore QIP, nearly half of which is earmarked for quick commerce expansion. While the long-term roadmap remains open, the Gurugram store highlights Instamart’s attempt to blend physical discovery with rapid online fulfilment as competition in quick commerce intensifies.
