Larsen & Toubro share price (NSE: LT) reached a new high of about ₹4,239.90 during intraday trading on February 17. Over the past month, the stock has climbed nearly 10%, clearly outperforming the broader BSE Sensex, which remained almost flat in the same period.
The strong rally has pushed the company’s market capitalisation close to ₹6 trillion, standing near ₹5.82 trillion, just a few percentage points away from the milestone.
L&T, through its subsidiary L&T Power Development, signed an agreement to sell its entire stake in Nabha Power to Torrent Power for around ₹3,660.87 crore, with completion expected by June 30, 2026.
L&T currently has an order backlog of about ₹7.33 trillion, up 30% year-on-year, indicating strong execution momentum across infrastructure, hydrocarbon, and precision engineering segments.
Revenue for the first nine months of FY26 grew around 12% YoY, and the company expects to achieve about 15% annual revenue growth. A robust near-term project pipeline of roughly ₹5.9 trillion and strong order inflows of ₹1.2 trillion provide clear visibility for future expansion.
Sustained capital expenditure, planned high-speed rail corridors, and rising investments in urban infrastructure, renewables, power transmission, defence, AI, and data centres are expected to support medium- to long-term order inflows for engineering and capital goods companies like L&T.

L&T’s recent stock rally reflects investor confidence driven by strategic asset sales, a strong order pipeline, and solid growth prospects. If execution momentum continues, the company appears well positioned to cross the ₹6 trillion market-cap milestone and deliver steady long-term performance.
