The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a multi-year global partnership with Hyundai Motor Company, bringing the automaker on board as a Premier Partner ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The deal further strengthens ICC’s top-tier commercial partnerships at a key time, with major global tournaments coming up.
By finalising the association well before the World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, the ICC has shown its focus on working with globally recognised brands that support the long-term growth of cricket and deeper fan engagement.
The partnership was officially unveiled at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the presence of senior leaders from both the ICC and Hyundai. With this deal, Hyundai becomes one of only 4 Premier Partners across ICC events, giving it premium visibility throughout the international cricket calendar.
As part of the agreement, Hyundai will get exclusive global rights linked to ICC tournaments, including branding around key match moments. These rights will cover several marquee events, with special emphasis on the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which begins on February 7.
The ICC and Hyundai plan to work together on initiatives aimed at improving the fan experience, both inside stadiums and across digital platforms. The partnership highlights a shared focus on innovation and finding new ways to connect with cricket fans in established as well as emerging markets.
ICC leadership noted that cricket’s massive global reach offers a strong platform for brands to engage audiences through creative digital campaigns and on-ground activations, making Hyundai a natural fit.
ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said Hyundai’s global presence, strong connect with cricket-loving regions and focus on technology align well with ICC’s vision to expand the sport beyond traditional markets.
From Hyundai’s side, the partnership marks a return to ICC events after its earlier association between 2011 and 2015. Company leaders highlighted cricket’s global appeal and cultural importance, especially in India, as key reasons behind the tie-up.
