
On December 10, 2025, Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), the flagship company of the Adani Group, announced the successful closure of its nearly ₹25,000-crore rights issue, one of the largest in India’s corporate history. The issue was oversubscribed by 108% by the end of the subscription period, highlighting strong market confidence.
The proceeds from the rights issue will be used to reduce debt and fund capital expenditure initiatives, including repayment of shareholder loans. The rights were offered at ₹1,800 per share, at a discount to AEL’s closing price of ₹2,213.90 on December 10, 2025, down 1.3% from the previous day. Eligible shareholders received three rights shares for every 25 shares held.
The allotment of shares was scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025, and the credited shares are expected to reflect in investors’ demat accounts by Friday, December 12, 2025.

A rights issue allows a company to raise capital by offering existing shareholders additional shares at a preferential price. Investors holding Adani Enterprises shares as of November 14, 2025, were eligible to participate. The renunciation window for trading rights has now closed. Allotment is scheduled for December 11, 2025, with shares to be credited by December 12, 2025.
