About the Nifty Smallcap 100

This index tracks the behaviour of 100 small-cap stocks and represents around 4.77% of NSE’s free-float market capitalisation (as of March 2025). It uses the free-float market cap method to calculate the index level in real time and was launched in 2011, with its base date in 2004.
