On December 27, 2024, NBCC (India) Ltd., the state-owned company announced that it had secured multiple orders totalling ₹368.75 crore.

The largest order, valued at ₹300 crore, is from the Varanasi Development Authority for the development of the Jawaharlal Nehru Commercial Complex (JLNCC) at Englishya Lines in Varanasi. This project will be developed on a self-sustainable model.

Another order, worth ₹44 crore, comes from the Power Grid Corporation of India for the construction and furnishing of a 500-bed multi-storey ‘Vishram Sadan’ at AIIMS Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The final order, valued at ₹24.38 crore, is from IIT Roorkee in Uttarakhand for the construction of the Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. This will include electrical installations, HVAC, firefighting, fire alarms, lifts, audio-visual systems, CCTV, and BMS installation and development.

Previous Orders Secured by NBCC

Earlier this week, NBCC announced securing several orders worth nearly ₹300 crore. Among these, it received a ₹200.6 crore order from Oil India Ltd. to construct a new hospital in Duliajan on a turnkey basis. Additionally, NBCC’s wholly-owned subsidiary, HSCC (India) Ltd., received a ₹98.17 crore order to establish an e-library for 22 government medical colleges and three dental colleges in Maharashtra.

NBCC Q2FY25 Financial Performance

NBCC reported strong financial performance for the September quarter, showing growth in several key metrics, although its margins contracted compared to the previous year.

  • Net Profit: ₹125.1 crore, a 52.8% increase from ₹81.9 crore in the same quarter last year.
  • Revenue: ₹2,458.7 crore for the quarter.
  • EBITDA: ₹100 crore, up 4.6% from the same quarter last year.
  • EBITDA Margin: Narrowed by 50 basis points to 4.1% from 4.6% year-on-year.

As of 11:49 AM on, December 27, NBCC shares were trading 0.58% higher at ₹92.61 per share and touched the day high of ₹93.29.
