Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund has submitted a draft Investment Strategy Information Document (ISID) for the Infinity Hybrid Long-Short Fund under its specialised investment fund offering. The document, dated February 9, 2026, has been filed in accordance with SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 2026.

The proposed scheme falls under the hybrid long-short category and is structured as an interval strategy. It combines investments in equity and debt instruments, along with limited short exposure through derivatives.

Investment Allocation

As per the draft, equity and related instruments may account for 35% to 75% of the portfolio, while debt and money market instruments may range between 25% and 65%. Exposure to InvITs is allowed up to 20%.

Short exposure through derivatives is capped at 25% of net assets. The strategy may also invest up to 35% of its assets in overseas securities, within applicable limits.

Total exposure across asset classes, including derivatives, will not exceed 100% of net assets.

Liquidity and Investment Terms

The scheme is to allow subscriptions on all business days, while redemptions will be available twice a week, typically on Mondays and Wednesdays. Units are proposed to be listed on stock exchanges.

The minimum investment amount is set at ₹10 lakh, with a lower threshold of ₹1 lakh for accredited investors. Additional purchases and redemptions can be made from ₹10,000. The draft specifies that no exit load will be charged.

Portfolio and Execution

The strategy may use derivatives for hedging as well as non-hedging purposes, including options and interest rate instruments.

Securities lending is permitted up to 20% of net assets, while exposure to securitised debt is limited to 10% of the debt allocation.

The benchmark for performance comparison is the NIFTY 50 Hybrid Composite Debt 50:50 Index. The fund does not have a performance history as it is yet to be launched.
