Smallcap Investment Strategy and Returns Scenario
Historically, small-cap funds have delivered higher long-term returns with greater volatility. Over the last 3 and 5 years, small-cap mutual funds have yielded average returns of 20.21% and 28.24% respectively. While the 1-year return averaged -0.08%, the recent uptrend in monthly performance and improved sentiment indicate a positive long-term outlook.
Conclusion
Helios Small Cap Fund comes to market as valuations in the small-cap segment appear fair post-correction. With a fresh portfolio approach, flexible fund size, and targeted asset mix, the fund is positioned for long-term growth. However, the performance will rely on consistent execution and market developments over time.
