Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund is currently India’s largest active flexi-cap mutual fund based on assets under management. As of November 30, 2025, the fund’s AUM stood at ₹1,29,783 crore, close to the ₹1.30 lakh crore mark. Strong investor confidence is reflected in November inflows of ₹3,982 crore, the highest monthly inflow for the scheme.
The fund invests across large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap stocks, helping investors benefit from diversification. At least 65% of its portfolio remains invested in equities, and the scheme is actively managed with a focus on quality businesses and long-term capital growth.
The fund follows a diversified approach across sectors and market capitalisations. Banking remains the largest sector exposure, followed by software, automobiles, power, FMCG, and telecom. It also maintains allocation to debt, cash, and money market instruments, which helps manage risk during volatile market phases.
Some of the key stocks in the portfolio include HDFC Bank, Power Grid Corporation, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Holdings, Coal India, ITC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, and Maruti Suzuki.
The scheme was launched on May 24, 2013, and was earlier known as Parag Parikh Long Term Equity Fund. It carries a 5-star rating and has a “Very High” risk classification. The expense ratio stands at 0.63% for the direct plan and 1.28% for the regular plan. Investors can start with a minimum lump sum or SIP of ₹1,000.
Risk metrics such as low beta and moderate volatility indicate that the fund has historically managed market swings relatively well compared to broader equity markets.
A one-time investment of ₹1 lakh made at launch has grown to around ₹9.5 lakh, translating into an annualised return of nearly 19.7%. This highlights the fund’s ability to generate consistent long-term returns for patient investors.
The fund’s SIP performance has been especially strong. A monthly SIP of ₹10,000 over 12 years, with a total investment of ₹15.4 lakh, has grown to nearly ₹59.4 lakh. The annualised SIP return during this period is around 19.5%, showing the power of disciplined investing and compounding.
