
Silver-based exchange traded funds (ETFs) have registered significant gains in 2025, tracking the sharp rise in silver prices over the course of the year.
Data for the period shows that silver ETFs and fund-of-funds have posted returns well above 100%, placing them among the stronger performing commodity linked instruments in the current calendar year.
In 2025 so far, silver ETFs have delivered average returns of around 127%. A total of 21 silver ETFs and silver ETF fund-of-funds recorded gains ranging from approximately 122% to 130% between January 1 and December 17, 2025, as per The Economic Times report.
