Tata AIA Life Insurance Co. Ltd has launched 2 new equity-oriented funds, Tata AIA Multicap Opportunities Fund and Tata AIA Multicap Opportunities Pension Fund. The funds are available through the company’s unit-linked insurance plans (ULIPs).
The new fund offer (NFO) will be open from December 24, 2025, to December 31, 2025. Units are being offered at ₹10 during the offer period.
Both funds follow a multicap investment structure, allowing exposure across large, mid and small-cap companies. Investments will be benchmarked against the Nifty 500 Index, which includes companies from a range of sectors and market capitalisations.
The fund structure is to track broader market movements rather than a specific segment of the equity market.
According to the scheme details, equity exposure will range between 60% and 100% of the portfolio. The remaining allocation, up to 40%, may be invested in debt and money market instruments.
This allocation provides flexibility to adjust exposure based on market conditions. The Nifty 500 Index will be used as the performance benchmark.
The multicap opportunities funds are accessible only through Tata AIA’s ULIPs. These products combine market-linked investment options with life insurance cover.
Investors access the funds as part of a long-term insurance-linked investment plan rather than as a standalone mutual fund product.
As per news reports, Harshad Patil, Chief Investment Officer at Tata AIA Life Insurance, said that India’s growth is spread across sectors and company sizes. He added that a multicap approach allows participation across this range while limiting concentration risk.
The funds, he said, are structured to provide diversified equity exposure linked to the Nifty 500 Index through ULIPs.

The launch adds to Tata AIA Life Insurance’s ULIP-linked fund offerings, providing a multicap equity option with defined allocation limits and a broad-market benchmark.
