Mirae Asset Mutual Fund has opened subscriptions for its new debt scheme, the Mirae Asset CRISIL-IBX Financial Services 3-6 Months Debt Index Fund. The New Fund Offer (NFO) began on 12 November 2025 and will close on 18 November 2025.
The fund’s initial Net Asset Value (NAV) is ₹10 per unit. The minimum investment amount is ₹5,000, and investors can start a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) with ₹99.
The scheme belongs to the Debt asset class and falls under the Income Funds category. It is structured as a growth option plan. There is no exit load, which means investors can redeem units without incurring additional charges. The fund carries a low to moderate risk level as per the SEBI Risk-o-meter.
The fund’s objective is to track the CRISIL-IBX Financial Services 3-6 Months Debt Index. It will invest in Commercial Papers (CPs), Certificates of Deposit (CDs), and Corporate Bonds issued by financial sector entities.
These instruments will have maturities between three to six months. The scheme aims to generate returns that are in line with the performance of the underlying index before accounting for expenses and tracking errors.
The underlying index represents short-term debt instruments from the financial services sector. By maintaining a short maturity profile, the fund will focus on low-duration securities to minimise interest rate fluctuations. However, there is no assurance that the investment objective will be achieved.
The scheme is managed by Basant Bafna under the Mirae Asset Mutual Fund. The fund house will be responsible for tracking the index’s performance and ensuring portfolio alignment within the 3-6 month maturity range.
