Bandhan Mutual Fund has announced the launch of 2 new Exchange Traded Funds — Bandhan Gold ETF and Bandhan Silver ETF. These commodity-based ETFs aim to track the domestic prices of physical gold and silver.
The New Fund Offer (NFO) for both schemes are scheduled to open on December 1 and will close on December 3, 2025, with continuous trading beginning from December 12.
The Bandhan Gold ETF aims to reflect the domestic market price of gold before expenses. It will invest primarily in physical gold and gold-linked instruments with an allocation of 95% to 100%, while the remaining 0% to 5% may be invested in debt and money market instruments. The fund comes with a "high" risk classification.
The Bandhan Silver ETF targets return in line with domestic silver prices. Like its gold counterpart, it will allocate 95% to 100% in silver and related instruments, with up to 5% in short-term debt or money market instruments. The risk level of this ETF is categorised as "very high".
Investors can initiate a lumpsum investment in either fund with a minimum amount of ₹1,000 and in multiples thereafter. These ETFs are designed to provide investor-friendly access to the precious metals market through a transparent, regulated structure. Fund managers Abhishek Jain and Brijesh Shah will oversee the portfolios.
By investing in physical assets, these ETFs aim to benefit from real-time pricing trends, offering an alternative to traditional methods such as physical purchase or jewellery investments.
