Axis Mutual Fund has opened the Axis Gold and Silver Passive Fund of Fund (Regular–Growth) for subscription between December 10 and December 22, 2025.
This is an open-ended scheme investing in a mix of gold and silver exchange-traded funds. It is classified under the “Others” category and falls within the Fund of Funds – Gold segment. NAV will be reported daily, as required for passive FoF structures.
The scheme requires a minimum investment of ₹100, with additional amounts also set at ₹100. An exit load of 0.25% applies on redemptions made within the specified timeframe.
The fund carries a Very High-risk rating due to the volatility associated with precious metals and the ETFs tracking them. As an open-ended product, units may be bought or redeemed after the NFO period through standard mutual fund processes.
The fund’s objective is to generate returns by investing in units of Gold ETFs and Silver ETFs. Its performance will reflect the movement of these underlying instruments.
The scheme notes that outcomes may vary because of tracking error in the ETFs it holds, which may cause deviations from metal price movements. It also records that there is no assurance that the investment objective will be met.
The scheme will be managed by Pratik Tibrewal. Being a Fund of Fund, it does not invest directly in physical metals but relies on the efficiency and pricing of the ETFs it selects.
Daily NAV calculation and standard repurchase rules apply, with no special features beyond the stated structure. The approach remains fully passive, focusing on holding ETF units rather than taking active positions.
