As per The Economic Times report, Tata Electronics earned about ₹23,112 crore from iPhone exports to the United States in FY25. These shipments contributed nearly 37% of its total revenue for Tata Electronics.
The company reported revenue of ₹66,601 crore in FY25. This marked a ninefold rise compared with the previous financial year. Tata Electronics added to the Tata Group’s consolidated topline of ₹1.53 lakh crore.
Tata Electronics accounted for 26% of India’s iPhone production in the year. Direct employment in its assembly operations rose by 63% to 31,000 workers, up from 19,000 in 2023.
In 2024, production increased by 180%, while exports rose 125%. In March 2025, Apple shipped iPhones worth nearly $2 billion from India to the US, with around 600 tonnes exported by Tata Electronics and Foxconn combined.
Assembly of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16e models has started at the Hosur facility initially. These operations add to Apple’s wider supply chain, which continues to diversify production locations.
The acquisition of Wistron Infocomm Manufacturing India near Bengaluru boosted Tata Electronics’ assembly capacity. The company has also taken a stake in Pegatron Technology to strengthen its manufacturing base.
According to news reports, in March 2025, Apple shipped iPhones valued at nearly $2 billion from India to the US, a record high. This surge, driven by companies like Tata Electronics and Foxconn, is part of Apple's strategy to increase production in India and avoid tariffs.
India is now expected to account for 20-25% of all iPhone shipments this year, a significant increase from 12-14% last year.

iPhone exports led Tata Electronics’ earnings in FY25 to the US. Rising shipments, increased output, and a larger workforce underline the scale of operations.
