Swiggy has introduced a ‘No Added Sugar’ category on its food delivery platform. The new feature is currently available in 10 major cities, including Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune. It lists over 1.5 lakh food items from more than 50,000 restaurants. The company said the feature will be rolled out to more cities in the coming weeks.
The launch comes at a time when food consumption tends to rise during the festive period. Swiggy added that the ‘No Added Sugar’ section is to help users find dishes that do not contain added sugar. This follows the company’s ‘High Protein’ category introduced earlier this year in July, which focused on protein-rich food options.
The new section is divided into two sub-categories: Naturally Sweetened and Not Sweetened.
Over 50,000 restaurants across major cities have listed items under this category. The dishes can be ordered directly through the Swiggy app. The listings are tagged clearly under the “No Added Sugar” label to help users filter options more easily.
Swiggy said the introduction of this category aligns with growing demand for sugar-conscious and clean-label food options. The initiative aims to make it simpler for users to find food that fits within their dietary preferences, especially during a season when traditional sweets are more commonly consumed.
As of October 16, 2025, 11:27 AM, Swiggy share price was trading at ₹455.20, a 2.82% increase from the previous closing price.
