Swiggy has entered into a partnership with electric vehicle company Bounce to bring e-scooters into its delivery fleet, as per news reports. The companies said the scooters will be deployed in phases across multiple cities.
In the first phase, Bounce will introduce the scooters in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru over the next 3 months. The vehicles will be available through Swiggy’s Delivery Partner app and Bounce’s own mobile application.
Delivery partners working with Swiggy and Instamart will be able to access the scooters at special pricing. The move is expected to provide wider access to electric vehicles for partners across both platforms.
Swiggy already works with more than 50 electric mobility providers across India. The company said the new partnership adds to the supply of electric vehicles available for its delivery operations.
As per news reports, Swiggy has stated that the Bounce collaboration will be extended to more cities over time. The company has earlier set a target of shifting to a fully electric delivery fleet by 2030, along with parallel initiatives on sustainable packaging.
As per reports, other delivery platforms have also taken steps in this direction. Battery Smart partnered with Zepto in 2024 to enable battery-swapping across 30 cities and add 10,000 vehicles during FY25. Zomato expanded its association with EV provider BLive in southern India, including the use of TVS iQube scooters for deliveries.
