Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) posted a consolidated net profit of ₹134.36 crore for Q1 FY26, down 40% from ₹223.92 crore in Q1 FY25.

RVNL Q1 FY26 Earnings: Revenue and Income Fall

Revenue from operations fell 4% to ₹3,908.77 crore from ₹4,073.80 crore last year. Other income also declined to ₹228.19 crore from ₹262.95 crore, bringing total income down to ₹4,136.96 crore from ₹4,336.75 crore.

Expenses and Joint Venture Gains

Total expenses fell slightly to ₹3,972.92 crore from ₹4,036.50 crore. Profit from joint ventures and associates rose to ₹9.37 crore from ₹1.36 crore last year.

New Subsidiary

RVNL formed a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Sabbavaram Sheelanagar Road Development Ltd, in Andhra Pradesh with a paid-up capital of ₹1 lakh.

Receivables from KRCL

RVNL has ₹1,275.25 crore receivable from Krishnapatnam Railway Company, including ₹889.95 crore interest on delayed payments. The interest calculation method was revised from compound to simple from October 1, 2024, while KRCL requested it be applied from April 1, 2020, and sought a waiver on departmental charges. The matter is under board review.

As of 13 August 2025, at 2:35 PM IST, Rail Vikas Nigam share price (NSE: RVNL) was trading at ₹326.20, down ₹3.25 or 0.99% for the day. The stock opened at ₹323.15, hit a high of ₹333.85, and a low of ₹316.50 during the session. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹68,010 crore, a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 53.08, and offers a dividend yield of 0.53%, with a quarterly dividend payout of ₹0.43 per share. Over the last 52 weeks, the stock has touched a high of ₹619.50 and a low of ₹305.00.
